~A NC & DC Licensed, National Board Certified Counselor~

~Professional Experience~

My career as a mental health professional began over twenty (20) years ago.

It has encompassed working in private and non-profit organizations, in the public sector for program-specific projects, and in private practice.

I have offered mental health services to diverse populations of all ages -in English and in Spanish, ranging a myriad of ethnicities, and a multiplicity of nationalities and religious practices. Diversity and cross cultural relationships are indeed among my highest clinical interests. Currently, I focus my clinical efforts on individual adults 18 and older.

My graduate education took place at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where I completed a sixty-six (66) credit hour Master's in Counseling Degree in December 1996. Prior to graduation from the Master's program, I was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, National Counseling Honor Society.

Thereafter, I have attained the following post-Master's Professional Credentials:

  • National Certified Counselor #46941 (National Board) 1996
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor #3407 (NC) 1999   (Formerly termed "Licensed Prof. Counselor")
  • Approved Clinical Supervisor # ACS00729 (National) 2008
  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor #S3407 (NC) 2010
  • Licensed Professional Counselor #PRC15533 (DC) 2021

I have received extensive Post-Graduate training at the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas via semester-long courses focused on the practice of psychotherapy from a Psychoanalytic Theoretical and Clinical orientation.

Clinical case consultations with specialized senior clinicians, have also been an integral aspect if this training.
